Some links on ReloMaps are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you see is the price you pay.
Commissions help fund this project (i.e., the data, hosting, writing, etc.). They do not influence our data or scoring methodology in any way.
In plain English.
An affiliate link is a normal-looking link to a product or service that contains a small tracking tag identifying ReloMaps as the referrer. When you click one and complete a purchase, the merchant pays us a percentage of the sale.
You pay nothing extra. The commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your wallet. You're never obligated to use our links — if you'd rather not, search the merchant's site directly and we won't earn anything on the purchase.
We're required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to tell you this, and we'd tell you anyway. Independent intelligence only works if you can trust where the money comes from.
ReloMaps currently participates in the following programs and others.
Paid Ads.
Some city, county, and property pages display a "Featured Partners" section with links from paying advertisers — realtors, mortgage lenders, insurance, movers, and local services. These are not affiliate links and we don't earn a commission per click or per lead. Advertisers pay a flat monthly fee for exclusive placement in their category on a given location's pages.
Sponsored cards always carry a "Advertisement" note. Editorial content, scoring, and rankings are not influenced by who advertises. Advertising is self-serve at /advertise.
